How to implement task escalation in Sharepoint 2010 declarative workflow, 2

Previously I introduced a simple way to do the task escalation here, which utilized the new feature "Parallel Block" of SharePoint Designer 2010 workflow.   Now, with the release of EFWorkflowTimer, we can build a monitoring workflow to check the task status on a periodic basis.


This solution is easier for maintenance, and is also more flexible.
